according to their website, their kits do not have barrel shroud, I don't know if barrel gate is included.

Please keep us updated. I am curious about condition and completeness of these kits. Thanks.

I was looking at their description of the kit. Since I already have a SA-42, this might be a good way to obtain the parts needed to convert to 8mm. Plus having some spare parts. Even though I'm laid-off right now I might buy one and then sell the parts I don't need. I have plenty of Romy 8mm and I would like to set up the SA-42 to shoot the 8mm. Hmm, be still my beating heart he says as he reaches for the plastic. I really hate to pass up a deal like this.

At $199, It would probably be worth it just for the extra barrel, not to mention all the other spare parts :)

What parts of the Receiver did it come with?

I got mine too...

I'm glad your barrel looks like new, mine doesn't, but it isn't horrible. Dark bore, no major pitting, looks ok as a blaster. The kit came with the normal cut barrel jacket with finish at about 60%. THe rest of the parts look like they were stripped from brand new guns, everything in an extremely heavy cosmoline. As soon as i get this stripped of the cosmoline, I'll post pics. Overall, pretty pleased with the general condition. :) edit to the barrel condition, just cleaned it up. Fortunately it was just very dirty, as it is virtually brand new with no wear marks at all. :D

Please someone post pictures!

Might I ask what parts missing from the kit?

Off of what you have seen ... is this a good base for a semi-auto MG42?

Out of curiosity, are the '53 parts completely interchangeable with the '42 parts?

Thanks gentlemen!

God bless,

I got mine today. It is just like to SOG kit I got a month ago. Barrel looks new. parts show very little wear. I have not noticed any missing parts (I thought CFS would have taken something out).

Save the $50 and get a CFS kit.

I got mine today. Looked real good. 80% finish through out. One problem, two left rails. Any one want to trade rails?
