I would like to shot 308 using m60 links from my mg42. What parts do I need to do this task...Is this possible?

you need the 308 barrel and top cover and a mg3 feedtray
:D i have done this and it launches the links you need a magnet on a stick

I got the MG3 flash hider and nose cone assy because it has its own built in booster and you won't get the 8mm and the 308 ones mixed up and there is one less part to fool with. Robert at RTG has them and so does Northridge but the ones at Northridge have a pretty funky finish.

Couple of more questions about the conversion. Do I need to change the bolt , recoil booster, barrel guide sleeve and recoil nozzle.?

no same bolt, nozzle and sleeve. The booster though is specific to 308 or 8mm.
