Re: fail to feed mg34
Anything other than an 8mm feed tray for the MG34 would be a pretty rare item.

J,
True. but they do exist; generally modified. I get my 42 and 34 issues intertwined. I should have just asked for the ammo type.

Re: fail to feed mg34
Done it myself, that's why it was an easy catch

Re: fail to feed mg34
8mm yugo, as far as i know its the 8mm tray; it came with the gun..
Re: fail to feed mg34
The little lever on the top of the bolt is probably worn out or its spring is weak. Also check the rear cartridgel lever in the feedblock and its spring. Any combination of those two being week or worn will allow the bolt to get under the cartridge. I had this problem in my TNW from day one and it drove me nuts until another member finally told me what I just told you. It's worked every since. - matt

Man, i sure appriciate the help!! how stiff should the piece be on the bolt? you can squeez it fairly easy by thumb pressure. not real easy though..heres some pics that may help
Re: fail to feed mg34
The spring for the lever in the bolt should be very stiff. It is hard to push on a few of my bolts, the ones that function well. The cartridge lever in the top cover is stiff but can be depressed with finger pressure. Something else to look at is the top edge of that lever on the bolt. If it is rounded or worn smooth it can pop under the cartridge as well. - Matt
