Sled for Sale

Post by Scotty »

There is a sled offered on WAF for $2200. A bit crusty but has original top strap and rear mount with chained pin. Nashville, TN local pick-up. Certainly worth the money in my opinion.

The URl for the wehrmacht site does not take you to the sled post. What is the location of the sled post? Header, topic and date?

bmg17a1, I just tried the url and it worked fine for me. Nevertheless, go to WAF. Go down to firearms and ordnance table and it is one of the first posts. Unfortunately, it is now sold.

When I use the URl listed and go to the site I get "no....specified" every time. My interest is to see what is offered on the market and what prices are realized. I have no interest in buying it.

Bob, I don't know why it was not working for you. Its gone now. Its was a rusted Sled, surface rust/lighter pitting. Looks like it might have gone through in a side panels at the front where its thinner sheet metal. Looked complete with Traverse lug and Top strap. Might have been missing oil caps. Overall not a bad deal at $2.2K He said it was locked up but I think it was a good sled for restoring. I could have used that damn Traverse lug! I need one if you know where any are!

Actually it is still there. I followed Scottys advice and went to the 'tables'. I am new to that site before and didn't know about the 'tables'. So, I foiund it and agree that it is an OK deal. Just wanted to know what one gets for the money asked these days.

I have found the prices on Sleds to just be all over the place lately! Along with a lot of Maxim items right now. Esp on GB. I have seen Sleds worse than this one go for near $5k! This is a lot of work at $2.2K but its pretty much complete. Going to depend a lot on how bad that rust really is. I think a lot of new people are buying Sleds right now and don't know how hard parts are to get for them! There seems to be a real run on MG08 items with crappy ZFs getting $400 or more... However 08/15 stuff seems to be cheaper...
