Does anyone know how to dissassemble the early 34 bolts firing pin retainer, i assume one slides the tab to the rear and undoes it it anti clockwise?

Yes crash;...Push the square piece to the side, and that unlocks the F/P retainer, then, as you said, unscrew it.....bh
