Mg42 parts kit & rewelded receiver
Mg42 parts kit & rewelded receiver
This is my first post so i just wanted to say hello to everyone.
I have a couple questions for you guys, I've got a nice wwii mg42 parts kit and a re welded 3 cut receiver that was done by stout way back when. I was thinking of selling everything but i am not sure i can sell the receiver the way it is. The receiver has had the semi mods done to it and the rails are not installed yet. What do you think?

Well I wish I knew what to say to this one. I have an interest depending on the price tag. My company also has a ffl to ship to.
You might have to have a ffl holder in your area ship it. I'll try to talk to a few folks about it and pm you back.

Since you are in AZ, you can do a ftf transfer without an FFL. If you ship it out of state it would need to be shipped to an FFL. Some FFLs will only receive from another FFL26023wood wrote:This is my first post so i just wanted to say hello to everyone.

Going through an FFL would be fine but make sure the receiver is marked with, where it was made, the name of the manufacturer (you) type weapon (mg42 or m53), and caliber. The markings need to be at least .003" deep

Would you need a serial number on it also?
Hopefully you will not cut it. Again that is, like it was to start with.

If you reweld a receiver, I thought it was considered manufacturing, the same way you can build an AK from a flat without buying any of it through an FFL? I know it's legal to build a rifle yourself, but I was sure you can't sell that receiver to someone else unless you're a firearms manufacturer? Anyone know the whole story for real?
