Long time and question on BRP rear section.

Post by m1-dan »

Hey everyone its been atleast 2 years since ive shown my face on here been really busy. I got one of the CFS kits a year ago and just finally took it back out today to clean it. Im thinking about buying a BRP rear section some time this year, my question is do they come with blueprints or templates on finishing it off? Im the diy type guy and have the skill and knowledge for this type of stuff. Its been awhile though and a bit rusty right now.

The quick thought on this is to double check where your parts kit is cut and how long the brp is and if they are long enough to meet together.
As far as blueprints etc, the brp website has a set and also there are some great build directions on this website.

Enjoy Life

Nice, that's just nice.. Sounds like a brp rear should with that. Review pirates build and Rocco's build notes on this website and you should be go to go.

GOOD LUCK!!!

ok thanks alot guys im hoping to be able to start buyin some build parts in a bit. Im getting married in May and looking to get a job at a FireDept this spring aslong as all goes well i just need to get back into this kit, and my bren kit to.

Another question i had it seems that BRP is really the only company out there right now making the weldable sections and front shroud barrel bearing piece to weld in. On the Barrel bearing piece i know its not like the WLA style but does anybody have a thought on how to make it look like the original. Also on the barrels i bought one with the kit as a fair/poor grade and its heavily pitted/rusted. I cleaned it with cleaner and copper brush on a drill but still looks like but. Whos selling just barrels for good pricing?

Have a great day and stay safe !
