Tell you what, dude, if you can get 1,000 MP44s imported from Sport System Dittrich in Germany, you will have a market for them - especially if you can get them in without any 922r refitting. If so, I will buy 5 of them from you.
However, you would be seriously dreaming if you think for even 1/2 a second that the Democraps will allow you to import 1,000 semi auto M53s as complete rifles.
I'd give that thought up if I were you.

Just had a thought, If you can get these into the US no problems then can you get a few for me in the UK. I think 10 will do with 5 spare barrels each, a laffette (spelling?) style tripod for each, some drums and 50, 000 rounds of ammo for each. Is Monopoly money ok?
The only thing that helps me maintain my slender grip on reality is the friendship I share with my collection of singing potatoes.

Re: New, unissued complete M53 semi-auto firing rifles
Reading between the lines here I'm going to make a bet that these are from Zastava who has been trying for a couple of years to get the ATF to approve their design. The last information I had regarding these was that there would have to be a minimum order of 1,000 units for them to go into production because new, semi-auto receivers would have to be made.
Unless I'm badly mistaken the semi M-53 that was advertised by Marstar in Canada last year was the Zastava M-53 Semi and purchasing one from them and having it drop shipped direct to ATF may be the fastest way to get the approval moving. I don't think they advertise it anymore but maybe they still have their sample laying around.

I suggest having the picture blown up to poster size,Rocco. After, you would have to look real close to make sure if it was a 42 or 53.Purely for technical reasons,of course!

I spoke with the owner of Marstar John regarding m53's and mg42's. While you may be correct with Zastava, there are 2 other reasons they were never brought to market.762x51 wrote:Reading between the lines here I'm going to make a bet that these are from Zastava who has been trying for a couple of years to get the ATF to approve their design. 1) John was unsatisfied with the reliability of the Century Arms m53 (in regards to marketing their product).
2) John had his engineers make up 2 prototype mg42's , with success, but their costs were too high to market effectively.
