I think that the MG-3 anti-aircraft sight set-up is designed to use the standard front post

There is no comparison between the spider AA site & the flipdown current version.

Its apples and oranges.... :?

I got one of Oakrodent's front site mounts and I am REAL happy with it. But i do have one question to the guys who are using them with the IO spider sight replicas- what did you use for a clip, and where did you find one? I'd like to be able to do the same set-up with mine.

What I did was I used an old AK shepard’s hook that I cut down for spring stock. I imagine about any strong spring-type metal wire would work. I pushed it through the mount’s spring slot just on one side (front or back doesn’t matter) and bent it around the outside of the slot so it would stay put. Then I filed a small flat on the AA mount’s round tab where it goes through on that side where the spring is so it could just barley slip past the spring steel, snapping into place when pressed in.

Maybe someplace out there sells the correct spring…don’t know, but mine snaps in and stays in place and pops back out good enough for me. It was free, works and you can’t see it anyway.
