.308 Top Cover with 8mm Guts
OK guys can I use 8mm guts in a .308 top cover will all the parts fit & work correctly I cant stand that Yugo crest on my 2nd build. I already have it on the first one but I have a German Shroud & rear Reciever & want a un-marked top cover seen as I can find a German Marked one please advise if this can be done Thanks

i think that some of the internal parts will fit and work---but i believe the amount of movment needed for the .308 is different (ie- different parts)---so there may be feed issues---i tried swapping some of the internals in mine but i could not get reliable feed ---so i bought a mg3 top cover/feed tray/booster---it works great---
i have a m53 top cover without a crest---
just my

Thanks so much Waffendude I appreciate your response I'll try & give it a shot & see if it works I just wanted to see if anyone has done it before.
It just baffles me why someone goes to all the trouble to respond to a request for help with a look it up answer .

The 8mm and 308 are different in length they will but not for very long!
I have a brand new not marked top cover for a 308 stripped still in the paper and box!!
NO MARKS / NUMBERS
Would you think about a trade?
I need a 8mm top cover in better shape than mine. To loose/worn.
