Got this a long while back, just collecting dust and I guess it's time to sell it. But it's a bit different from other MG42 kits, seems like an old demil because they used a saw to cut off the rear receiver only, the rest of the front is still intact, even the rivets for the trunnion were never cut. Lots of WW2 markings too, so what would the value of this kit be?
That slab sided cocking handle you have is worth quite a bit on its own. The last one I saw on ebay went for $300 and higher than that is not unusual. I would be tempted to sell this as a separate item and buy a replacement period item for the kit.
I am not sure on the value of the rest of the kit but it is going to be worth a good chunk of money. That intact shroud will save someone a lot of time and swearing, that has to add value.
The only thing that helps me maintain my slender grip on reality is the friendship I share with my collection of singing potatoes.

the front shrould uncut like that has been sold for up to $400
the slabsided cocking handle is around 500 =/-.
can't be sure but looks like an early barrel extention.

Its amazing anything works right around here with a bunch of

Start with the price of the usual kits-I am not sure where that is right now-add because it is a 42,not a 53, so has extra value being a german made gun.The add because of the front not being torched off.The wise-lite repair piece is around $125,plus all the work involved.The cam piece rivet will have to be removed to get a good weld in there,no big problem .The camming section is also intact.I would add $400 or so to the price of a yugo kit.I would also replace the slab-sided cocking handle as suggested aboue.My opinion only. ---bil

I've got one of the replacement rachet plates that goes with that cocking handle (the one without the dogleg) that I might be willing to trade out with someone for one of the later style dogleg versions. You might keep it in mind for whomever buys the kit from you.
