Re: ZIB-Militaria
Hello,
I live here in the UK and I've ordered a number of items from this seller, Zib. I'd like to state that's he's very good. Fast postage and for the weight quite cheap too! I would certainly recommend him to all users and can find him ebay too.
Cheers Simon.

Re: ZIB-Militaria
He told me he wouldn't sell those to the USA though...?
Re: ZIB-Militaria
It's a very heavy piece, should imagine it would cost a small fortune to airmail

Re: ZIB-Militaria
That sucks. You wouldn't think a mount would be restrictive. Says in the T's & C's...jbaum wrote:He told me he wouldn't sell those to the USA though...?

Re: ZIB-Militaria
This would be good in the 'Reviews' section,as that is a good place to look for seller info.I don't know if it would be appropriate to move it or start a new thread. It would save looking for this all over next time.Or the 'Links and Deals section? ---bil

I think you miss the point

Not so, JB ???

Re: ZIB-Militaria
Meaning all the trouble JB went through to get these here, now this guy is/may be undercutting his price.Depends on shipping and availlability. So what about us guys that paid more from John? Thanks, big guy!
I know you don't make much on them, they are a lot of headache for you,and you practically give away the manuals!I would still rather buy from someone here and help support the cause. ---bil

Re: ZIB-Militaria
When I saw the killer prices Zib had on the mounts months ago, I tried to buy some from him. He wouldn't ship them to the US - he said he wasn't allowed to export these to the US, so after hunting for the last 6 months, I finally found someone who would send them to me.
I can't say whether the other guy should send them or not from Holland, but they're supposed to be on the way. If someone can get Zib to send them to the US, cool..... he wouldn't do it for me - I tried.
Do I make a few bucks on selling the mounts? Yup, you bet. At todays prices, it fills my gas tank. Postage..... yeah, it's a killer. 8 pounds each, and the mail in Europe is twice what we pay here.
I'm sure the guy who sends them to me makes more than what Zib does, he may even buy htem frmo Zib, but that's just like 5 cents pound for pork chops.... Come back when I won't sell them to you, a good price is irrelevant. I have gotten them in the past, and with a little luck, the ones I've already paid for will come in too. It's a risk that I take, using Paypal to send money to someone I don't know personally.
They're great mounts, and not hard to find, just hard to get here. I'll make no excuses for the price I offer them at. I wish I could buy from Zib - they'd be cheaper if I could.

Re: ZIB-Militaria
Wanna see something sad? Here's someone who doesn't know where to shop for an MG3 belt loader...... looks like he doesn't know what he's buying: $273.88 for an MG3 loader, just because the seller said is was for the MG42.

I tried to order a bipod from him last weekend and he said he couldn't do just one but if I wanted to do 20 it might be worth it to do the paper work.Oh well.
Re: ZIB-Militaria
Dear MG42-Collectors, Dear friends, this is very important - so please take a minute to read through this.
I am Heiko Zuber from Germany owning Z.I.B. (Zuber International Business) and the webshop http://www.zib-militaria.de.
Let me introduce myself personally: I am 30 years old and I live and run my business in Hamburg, Germany. I have gone through an international education (2001 Bachelor BA in Germany/ 2005 Bacehlor BA in Texas, USA/ 2006 Master in international economics in Germany) and before starting my own business I worked for Airbus in Hamburg. Even though I am german, I consider the USA as my second home and I am on vacation in the US at least once a year (seeing my hostfamily and buddies from the college days).
A big thank to one of you guys who informed about what was written here about me. One thing first to get it clear with one sentence: WHAT IS WRITTEN HERE IS PURE SLANDER! And this is not funny anymore because I think this is already criminal!!! This will have consequences and I am looking for an attorney in the US right now to avoid this happening in the future and sanction the guy called Robert (I will tell you more about him at the end of this text).
I have a wide range of MG42 accessories in stock and I mainly offer these in Germany and within the EU. I am not offering much to the US because for all items I sell to the US I have to go through an export control process. I have to apply for an export permit from german authorities (we call it "Ausfuhrlizenz" - translated it is export-licence) and have my goods inspected by customs before I ship the item. That is why I am selling rarely to the US. I am taking care of every little requirement for these international transactions - and I have denied thousand of items-request from the US because this process is just worth items with a high value or big lots of items. Here I would like to recommend Brian from BTP arms (http://www.keepshooting.com) because he owns one of the companies that I supplied with a bigger quantity of goods last year. He is a nice guy and somebody taking 100% care of customer satisfaction. The AA-tripods, belt loaders etc. I supplied to him are premium quality items (many are in new condition).
I did never sell gun parts outside the EU. I am offering only MG42 accessoires that are hard to find in the US and of which I know that there is a high demand within the US. I get the profit for these items that justifies going through the export control process which is by the way MUCH paperwork. (I am more than successful in Germany and Europe and my reputation is AAA - I am just offering to the US sometimes to stay connected with the folks that I like best in the world - you my US friends.) Note: On your side you have to make sure that it is within your state law receiving these accessoires (belt loader or tripod) - if it is not please take care of paperwork where needed. That is your duty and I am telling this to my customers.
Concerning "Robert's" statement: Not one word is true about that. I do not know how he can come out with statements like that??? I am getting so angry here at my computer screen about what I am reading. How can somebody do something like this - this is not a joke anymore this is pure slander? I am not sure if fearing my competition is his motivation for stating this (Try a different word.) Let me tell you that I have never been in conflict with the law, neverever. Through my studies of international business and my practical experience I know every little requirement for doing business internationally - and I always took and will take care of these requirements.
PS: I am doing national business with the german supplier of Robert and I know Roberts business since I started my surplus business (I offered him wholesaling - but never got an answer from him, now I got an answer - a criminal offense). I will get legal advise now and see what I can do about avoiding this slander in the future. If anybody of you knows a good US attorney who might be interested in this case let me know. I know all german wholesalers for military surplus and became one of them within the last 1,5 years - so if anybody of you is interested in sourcing bigger amounts directly from Germany let me know. We will work out great deals!
I just put in some offers at gunbroker.com - visit me there.
Please think for yourself how to evaluate the behaviour of this Robert guy. Myself, I will not offend him or telling lies about him - this is just not I am. I would be happy if you tell your MG42-friends about this case - everybody should know how some people run and ruin their reputation.
Thank you very much for your attention - a big "Hi" from Germany, Heiko
