Century? Approval? What are you talking about?
Century can contract development (and depending on contract, retain design ownership) or buy OEM.
Are you saying Century owns the design, or the actual product WLA is selling on their behalf?

Re: F/S: Semi-auto Yugo M53/MG42 rear receivers from Wise Lite
Just as the permission to sell these receivers was something we repeatedly asked for, there was guidance that came along with the "go-ahead".
Remember we are manufacturing the firearm as a program for a commercial customer. They won't want us to sell receivers in states where they won't sell the firearm. We had a long uphill battle to just get to the point of being allowed to sell these receivers at all! Look at the old posts and see how many months ago Tony first thought we could make these available.

OK, I'm not informed on the business savvy or contract details WLA has with Century. But in general, firearms businesses aren't particularly astute when it comes to business.
Perhaps I should put this in an email or a PM, but for the sake of others who may be in a likewise situation, I'll post here. Specifically because you've said nothing that makes any contractual obiligation or business sense. I don't mean offense, really, I'm hoping I can help. Unless you have a contract saying otherwise, it doesn't matter beans what Century "wants".
I'm not going to continue with this. If you have business concerns or I may be of assitance reviewing contracts or strategies, email or PM me. Otherwise, I'll consider the business opportunity to sell in Century "anti" regions dropped.

Re: F/S: Semi-auto Yugo M53/MG42 rear receivers from Wise Lite
I think it is fairly clear-wise-lite is making these parts for Century to use in their completed sa42/53s.Because they know that we here are interested in the rear receivers and some of the folks involved are in here also,as a favor to us and to try out the market, they have allowed some of these to be sold on a limited basis. To cover their a**, Century has limited sales to states they ship to.So to get these parts we can either do it this way or buy the rear halves already attached to the entire gun.I don't think Century would have let this happen without a lot of back-stage persuasion from several of our members,to who I say-Thank You! ---bil

Plus who do ya think all these M53s came from, Century I believe.
Re: F/S: Semi-auto Yugo M53/MG42 rear receivers from Wise Lite
I just added some other images to the original post.
It shows the bolt extension after having been welded to the bolt and then machined.
What is included with this offer is just the bolt extension piece, not the welded assembly!
The other image shows the receiver with the pieces from your part set installed. The grip shown is the one we make, however you can use a semi grip from any other supplier as well.

Re: F/S: Semi-auto Yugo M53/MG42 rear receivers from Wise Lite
Can we get a pic of the bottom side of the receiver with WLA grip stick installed? look like some add'l material need to be removed maybe 1/2 an inch.
Re: F/S: Semi-auto Yugo M53/MG42 rear receivers from Wise Lite
There is a good thread on WEAPONEER:
http://www.weaponeer.net/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=4964
Lots of details being posted concerning the building of a semi-auto MG42/M53.
Many of the posts are talking about the receiver that Wise Lite Arms manufactures.
The pictures and info should be of help.

I have been watching that link but was hoping WLA could show some closeup pics of the WLA grip stick and the receiver since there has been alot questions about the grip stick.

Re: F/S: Semi-auto Yugo M53/MG42 rear receivers from Wise Lite
I just finished several more pages and will continue to add to it through the weekend.
Re: F/S: Semi-auto Yugo M53/MG42 rear receivers from Wise Lite
I would like to pick one of these up, but since they won't sell to my state, I guess I'll have to do business elsewhere....

Re: F/S: Semi-auto Yugo M53/MG42 rear receivers from Wise Lite
It may have more to do with the Cali laws, you will have to look into that before you do a build.I think there is some restriction on this type of gun with the regular grip.Good luck. ---bil

Re: F/S: Semi-auto Yugo M53/MG42 rear receivers from Wise Lite
First off I would like to say "Thank you" to the folks who have purchased these, and to all the folks who freely exchanged "build" information.
A special thanks to "Pirate" for his tutorial. I couldn't have even began to get such good photos together, let alone create such a presentation.
The end is in sight with about 15 of these receivers left.
The "Commercial Customer" (who controls the project, established the "where", "pricing" and "how many" can be sold) isn't interested in allowing any more of these to be made up for sale.
Same outfit has stopped all their sales of AK part sets to distributors, retailers and the public.
I don't see their management changing this decision.
