I believe our home built guns run because we spend a lot of time on one firearm and not 10. We are not trying to make a buck, but save a buck. Mine runs like a champ :)

Good news, after all the tweaking we did to the 42, and the last thing I did was to reduce the size of the buffer spring and buffer spring nut by rotateing it on a belt sander so it had more clearence inside of the bolt extension. Also used a full recoil spring. Brother-in-law was kind of nice to do the extension in the butt stock to use the full size spring and works perfect, went threw about 400rds with out a malifunction, just the usual bad primers on 30 year old 8mm ammo .Just hope it all stays together now. Got all the right combinations all together now( I Hope)

Well guys, After this happened: http://panzer46.net/mg42board/viewtopic.php?t=5224 I didn't have time to try it out in the field. It started pouring rain by the time got the bolt back out. I'm going to try and do it sometime this week or on the weekend at the latest.

Thanks again guys,
Josh
