Witness At Assault Weapons Ban Hearing

Post by gdmoore28 »

And here's a telling confrontation of Schumer, Franks, and other senators at the assault weapon's ban hearings:

Note especially her final statement.

" The strongest reason for the people to retain the right to keep and bear arms is, as a last resort, to protect themselves against tyranny in government . . . . When the people fear their government there is tyranny, when the government fear the people, there is liberty." Thomas Jefferson

Great point, too bad the majority doesn't feel the same!

Liberal debate tactics need to be turned against them. I'm referring to the tactic where they take a victim of whatever and use them for their purposes then try to silence the opposing viewpoint. Cindy Sheehan is a perfect example of this......."you can't criticize her, she lost her son in Iraq!"

Her ex-the father-also lost a son.The differance is he is not some kind of nutcase. This woman has gone past the limits of truth and class so many times, but you are right-no-one calls her on it,because'she lost her son in Iraq. I am not in favor of the war as it has been run so far,but it is people like her that taint any reasonable dissent.Another goofball that has gotten national media attention is Dan Dewalt, the town selectman from Newfane,VT. The town next to me.He came up with the petition that was voted in town meeting to impeack the president. This guy is a local wack-job that most local folks wont give the time of day.But through media manipulation,he has become some sort of TV spokesman. They have both had their 15 munutes of fame, now sit down! ---bil

This woman has more balls than many men I know for telling Schurmer the way it is.

Scary thing is you do not see ANY covereage on this new assault weapon ban because thye want it to pass. The less knowlege the less uproar. The less calls to stop it.

We have been priveliged to have Cindy Sheehan here in Vermont this week, speaking to our state legislature. It was great! After she spoke,to no applause, she was followed to the podium by several mothers from Vermont that had lost sons in IraQ and Afghanistan. You may have seen that Vt. has lost the most per capita in this latest war. These mothers then proceded to tear her a new a--hole! like she needs one.The mainstream press didn't focus on this at all. I will try to find the articles and post them or a link.It was in the Rutland Herald.I wish you guys would stop stirring me up! :D ---bil

Thank God there are mothers out there who know their sons are old enough to make their own decisions. I would love to see those articles.

Now that the Democrats are in,where are all of the grand ideas that we heard about? The country was a mess and they were going to straighten it out.All we have seen is posturing, pandering, and positioning for the next election. They will get nothing done at this rate.Thank God!! ---bil

the democratic's want our weapons. and the word around military bases is they are going to cut funding for our troops but raise the price of the things they need to buy to stay alive. Such horse (Try a different word.), our government is not "we the people, for the people" its more of a communistic state. I'm against the war b/c we have dumbass's that would rather kill off fellow Americans than turn the whole middle east into a glass factory with our superior air force. They dont have to worry about loosing loved ones b/c they are protected. I say send over Bush, his 2 dyke daughters, chaney -his muff diving daughter, and that black dumbass Rice to fight and see what can get done then. Those 3 like to stir up (Try a different word.) and then not be able to back it. Dont get me wrong i support our troops but the government needs a total 360 to get us back to the USA we use to be. What we have going on today is a modern day Vietnam, only difference we are in sand, everything else is just like or previous conflict.
Here is a lil tid bit that will piss off my fellow Americans. Since we have not declared war on these a55holes our troops don't get VA benefits. They are getting them now, but the government at anytime can stop it and say so sorry, we are done taking care of you, thanks for your help but now figure out how to get yourself better.
So sad :( :(

I'd just like to be the first smartass to note , - a 360 degree turn , ............. puts you back going the same direction
"good , bad, .....I'm the man with the gun."

Its amazing anything works right around here with a bunch of

Is she the one that went to funnerls to protest? I think a guy I know who also lost a son, used to travel around the country to debate her on the subject.

You may be thinking of that whack-job religious group who goes to protest at military funerals claiming that soldiers are dying as punishment for homosexuality.

Yes,Cindy Sheehan hasn't sunk this low yet, those other wack-jobs are a disgrace to any religion. If you ever wonder how the Moslems can get so fanatical, you need look no further than these 'Christians' to see how far some people will go in the name of religion. These people would welcome the Inquisition with open arms. There is a special ring in the Inferno for them. They use others grief for their own gain. ---bil

I'm so sick of people like you that are so uninformed it is mind numbing. This is no Vietnam, why don't you try Korea.
By the way that war is still on thanks to your buddies the UN.
How about taking a look at the history of the Muslim Brotherhood and get a clue. Wake up !

Oh so we as America did not lose over 50,000 troops in a conflict that took place in Vietnam? I guess my history books are wrong.
What does Korea have to do with this? Are you afraid of a 3foot tall asian guy that has nukes? HAHAHA
And as far as getting a clue, I'm clued in. I can see what Bush and his little communistic idealistic friends have done to this country. And as far as the Muslims they are not a problem to us, becuase if they were true muslims that is taught from the Qur'an then you would know they are just like Christians and believe in peace.
What we have is a conflict over two things at once. 1 being attacked by some coward that now hides, 2 a government that used that excuse to jack up oil prices because that is what they want from over there. I am no uninformed, I'm far from it.
LOL i have no buddies in the UN. Our own president is one of the greatest enemy to us.A president that rules with an iron fist, that makes our government more Communist then it does social. In good time you will see what our government has become, and when this has happened chaos will rule and law will no longer save you.
And as far as making you sick, good maybe you will think more then talk.
Dont be a catfish on the net. All talk no ass!!

Wow, this is the first ignorant I've encountered on this forum ... fancy that!
Oh so we as America did not lose over 50,000 troops in a conflict that took place in Vietnam? I guess my history books are wrong.
I think some remedial math courses are in order, buddy. 50,000=3,000? :?
What does Korea have to do with this? Are you afraid of a 3foot tall asian guy that has nukes? HAHAHA
He's saying the Korean War, wingnut! "HAHAHA" ... what were those history books you spoke of previously?
And as far as the Muslims they are not a problem to us, becuase if they were true muslims that is taught from the Qur'an then you would know they are just like Christians and believe in peace.
I challenge you to find one occurrence where anyone in the administration said "Muslims are the problem".
What we have is a conflict over two things at once. 1 being attacked by some coward that now hides, 2 a government that used that excuse to jack up oil prices because that is what they want from over there. I am no uninformed, I'm far from it.
So you're saying that the government wages war to simply have an excuse to "jack up oil prices" on oil they use to fuel their own military technology? ... No, no, you "ain't" uninformed! GTS
A president that rules with an iron fist ...
... who for some reason "allowed" his bitter rivals to gain control of both Houses and the Senate which oppose him on an hourly basis? ... It must be one of his "communistic" conspiracies. BTW, look up what Communism is before sounding off, McCarthy ...
All talk, no ass!!
All ass, no talk ... Are we to debate with our asses, sir? This seems highly improbabale, wouldn't you say :?

Wise up, pal, and do a bit of research before flapping your gums. Why embarass yourself? Have a little respect for yourself, no?

God bless,
Joshua R. Smith
