This is only the opening round in the Rats attempt to stage a coup in taking over the gov. They and their accomplices in the media and academia and the bureaucracy have been working at this since the 1920's. They intend to consolidate their power in such a way that they never lose it.
You must remember that they are dedicated Marxists. Time has no meaning as they believe that they will achieve their desired result eventually. Anything that will gain them power is acceptable. And if that means thousands of people will die, then so be it. Power is the end all and be all of their existance.
You don't have to believe me. Just look at what they do and who they support. Any enemy of the US is their friend. The dumbing down of the populace is one of the ways in which they intend to take control. If you don't know your history and are told that your culture is bad, you can be led down any path that they want to take you. Think multi-culturalism.
Anybody ever hear of "bread and circuses"? Divert the attention of the populace away from the insidious machinations of the power seekers. Give them bread and entertainment. Keep them dumb and happy until the final stone is in place and then lower the boom. Result. Slavery.
Why do you think that there is such a hunger by the Marxists for gun control. No gov. has ever gained absolute control over it's population without first disarming it's citizens. One of the kids overheard us and said, "Well, what's wrong with that? They're the police." Larry and I looked at each other in amazement. I told the kid that the cops had no right to enter a private residence without a search warrant or reasonable cause according to the Constitution. The kid didn't believe me. He said that the cops could do whatever they wanted. He had no idea or knowledge of Constitutional guarantees. He was a serf. A fine product of our educational system. I felt like kicking him in the ass for being such a dimwit.
So, hang on to your hats guys. We're in for one hell of a ride before the dust settles.

One of my congressmen that I wrote to in order to advocate against passage of any further gun control legislation wrote me back to extoll his "long time advocacy for the rights of sportsmen." I wrote him back that I didn't give a damn about sportsmen. I want to preserve the RIGHT (not priviledge) to keep and bear arms regardless of their supposed useage. Would he advocate for the free speech rights of only journalists? Only of people who used speech in a manner approved as "appropriate" by the government?

Why is it that our government can make such brazen attacks on the Second Amendment rights of such a huge number of people? Because we are not as LOUD

This country needs to be saturated with Second Amendment advocacy. The Dems understand this -- why don't we?)

Reagan made Americans proud to be Americans again, and to be proud of our national heritage and blessings. That period also climaxed with the creation of the one institution that has prevented our total decline into Marxism/Socialism: the Conservative Press.
This country was on the edge of total dominance by socialism before the Conservative Press movement emerged. Why? Because the liberal Powers That Be exercised absolute control over the government, the press, and all other media. The Truth had to sought out in scattered publications and a few conservative newspapers. When the Conservative Press exploded onto the airwaves, it literally knocked the Powers That Be into a blathering stupor. They didn't know how to answer the Truth, because they had never before been challenged or required to account for their actions.
After twenty-five years, the liberal establishment is still in disarray. It can't defend its actions or its morality because there is no defense. Liberalism simply cannot compete in the marketplace of ideas. The BIG LIE has been exposed.
But the Marxist/Socialists have seen a glimmer of hope. They have discovered that if they can't compete in the arena of truth, they have a good chance of victory in the realm of LIES. This is the battleground they have chosen, and they have enlisted their dedicated friends in the mainstream media and entertainment to help them spread the lies based upon the one truth they understand: if you tell a lie loud enough and long enough, it will soon be the truth.
And what is the lie? "America is in mortal danger, and the Republicans are not going to protect you." Thus, the list of "dangers" are created and are repeated endlessly. "The War is going badly. The climate is being destroyed, and we are to blame. Guns are deadly, widespread, and in the hands of extremists and criminals. The economy is about to fail. The deficit is out of control. And, worst of all, the President and all his cabinet are crooks!"
All of this brings the "Social Progressives" to their one hope of a return to domination: the rule of government. (If you can't inspire people to follow you by your ideas, you must force them to obey by power of force.) So, the Dems and their partners in crime have successfully convinced the people that the Republicans are evil, incompetent*, and warmongers of the worst sort. And they have been reborn by being reelected to save us all from disaster and utter ruin.

Yes, Bil, I have read John Locke, and the Fedaralist Papers and Bastiat. I'm glad that I received a proper education. I've never been misled by the lies of the Marxists. And I've seen the results of 70+ years of the worker's utopia. And it ain't pretty.
It must be my Irish ancestors that make me somewhat of a rebellious attitude towards the miscreants that would deprive me of my God-given rights as a free American.
I abhor, despise , and repudiate everything that Nancy the Queen , Hillary, Jon Carry, Ted Kennedy, Carl Levin, Harry Reid, the entirety of the mainsteam media, and their academic whores stand for.
I would love to see someone in power invoke the Logan Act and promptly arrest Nancy Pelosi as soon as her plane touches down on American soil. She committed a felony and should be prosecuted.
As long as these people get away with criminal acts, nothing will change. It's time to show them that they are not above the law. I don't care if they are Pubbies or Dems. In my estimation, half of the Congress should be brought up on charges of treason in time of war. They should be removed from office and new elections held.

to reply to your question propos of the parasites. The only way i know of getting rid of parasites is to kill them off. We do this with fleas,ticks, head lice and other assortment of things that infect us or animals. And you are correct your vote means nothing. When you vote it goes through an electoral college, which is linked to your states government party. So even if the whole state voted the opposite of the state party they still would win. We as Americans are losing rights as fast as we are losing jobs. Sad thing is most people dont have the balls to march onto there government wanting a change for the fear of death. They are killing us slowly now with all the chemicals in our foods and water. Death would be a bitter sweet vacation from the cesspool of (Try a different word.) we live in now. Dont get me wrong we are better off here than Iraq,Iran, Mexico,Afghanistan but not much better with a government posed to strike on it sown people and forget what America stands for.
