It's so nice to see that you welcome new members with open arms... If I try to post to the for sale section it says I need to have 5 posts before I can do that... Thus I tried my best to follow all the rules of contact info, links and so on. I didn't know what else I am supposed to do...

Yes, the rule is that you need 5 or more posts to list in the F/S section. By your own admission, you learned that when you tried to post in the F/S Section. You obviously didn't "try your best to follow all the rules" if you learned of a cardinal rule and then intentionally disregarded it on your first post to the forum. It's kind of obvious, if you need 5 posts to sell here, you participate until you have 5 posts. You don't ignore the rule and post anyway. You found out quickly that it's frowned upon. Instead of complaining about the rules, consider for a moment that they are here to protect the members from "drive-by" sale postings and spam. Consider also that the mods aren't paid to sit here and waste their time deleting F/S posts in the general forums. If I had to do that every day...

That said, do what the rest of us do, you get to know the board first and participate in the community before offering things for sale. Like the mods say, this is not an auction site. The F/S section really is for members. It may be a little crude but I think it is pretty accurate--if you want to be welcomed into someone's home, it's not a good idea to take a crap in the living room when you first walk in. This is a low key board. Hopefully you will understand why your post was deleted, sit back, read, participate, and then try to introduce yourself again in a more positive way.

Its fairly easy to post 5 times real quick, and not look like you are just getting in for the FS section.Look around, comment on someones project, say something about yourself, post a picture of something you arent selling.5 isnt a giant number,it used to be 10,and all of us did it.Welcome aboard, now you say 'thank you',and you are 1 closer. If we didnt have these minimum rules,we would just post to Gunbroker or a similar site.We aren't unfriendly,we just like everyone to start out the same way,and we know they might stick around.Thanks. ---bil

now your back down to 2 posts because i'm deleting those and then I'm headed to the F/S section to delete your AD as well .

WHY ? __ you ask ?

but i will leave this thread up so the members can see for themselves what your about and decide if your the kinda guy they want to do busness with :badidea:
"good , bad, .....I'm the man with the gun."

Its amazing anything works right around here with a bunch of
over-age juvenile delinquents running the place.
