coldsteel solutions incorporated MG42 receiver blanks
This is very exiting.Thank you for posting these. It looks like a great new product.I hate to bother you,but could we get a photo of the 'ratchet plate' area[I know, wrong name]where the cocking handle slides? I had trouble with another company's product in that atea, and would like to see yours. I really like how you have made it long enough to avoid welding in the cam section,a high-stress area.Keep up the good work! Thank you. ---bil
The diferance is in the details. We have seen many vague photos of many receivers here lately. What will make the whole thing interesting is not who get theirs out first, but who gets the most accurate one out first. They are all at about the same state of coming on the market, but they will have to be as accurate as possible,or there will be some p.o.ed folks. The sudden availabillity of the yugo 53 parts sets has brought out a lot of people that otherwise would never thought of building a gun.If a new receiver isnt up to snuff, another will be there to take its place. Most of the ones coming up look better than the old ones, but the proof is in the pudding,as they say. These pics look good, though. ---bil
Very good point Bil. And as ussual it will come down to the, survival of the fittest. I am not nearly as talented as alot of guys on this forum in having the ability to weld and machine parts..........and having well made for sale parts will have to be what I rely on.
I do want to learn and do as much as I can though.

Well we said it before and we will say it again, the creation of receiver blanks is a slow and methodical process wich is constantly being improved with repetition.
The most improtnt aspect is customer service, we are always looking to improve and assist in the rebirth of a beautiful semi auto weapon.
I will get a picture of the ratchet plate on here soon.
God Bless the U.S.A. and the Second Amendment.

I've been looking into building a 42 and this is a pleasant surprise to
find CS making a blank.
I appreciate the hard work in making this available.
I will definitely be interested in one in the near future.
Welcome Rahatlakhoom! Pull up an ammo crate and stay awhile!.

Thanks for posting the pictures of the new receiver sections. They look most impressive and up to the quality standards that we've heard Coldsteel delivers.
I can just imagine how clean a SA-M53 will look when it's constructed out of nice, virgin metal like that
Looks great, Coldsteel. Thanks for the investment.
