Thats verry interesting to see the Wiselite piece without the divet. Do we know if anyone hase one of these in a working gun? and if so can they still change the barrel?
Also I edited my post after checking the thread count, it is 16 tpi, but I dont know the pitch or the deapth.
And, yes we are a group of highly chrged guys that don't sit still verry long, and we hit a project with a 110%, full steam ahead. Lets just say that grass don't grow around our feet.
I don't know if we will come up with any alternitive building ideas, but if we do, we will be sure to give back to the community that has provided so much for our builds.

I just went back to the first pictures posted here by Wiselite of their new components. Oddly, the replacement barrel bushing sleeve pictured there HAS the recess cut into it. So, I don't know if they decided that it was unnecessary or if they simply forgot to machine it.
Has anybody else who bought the Wiselite replacement sleeve noticed this? Let me know whether all of them were machined like this or if I got an incomplete one.

Both my Wiselite bushings are like the photo. Mine aren't welded in yet, but they are a tight fit in the shroud, and stay put when you mess with them. The barrel goes in and out like it's supposed to. My guess is that the extra cut isn't necessary, so they omitted it.
The MG3 bushing I have, doesn't have the cut either. BTW, the drawing is the MG3 bushing.

Thanks for clearing up the schematic being a mg3 bushing.
I see in the MG3 bushing there are T-slots on the inside, but the MG42 bushing doesnt seem to have the Tee at the bottom of the slot. Is this needed in the 42 bushing?
Just a quick update.. My two Sarco kits arrived exactly a week after I ordered them. First impressions: much of the parts are practically brand new! The barrels look unfired. I looked down the bores to see clean sharp rifling with a hint of oil on them. Also, I was surprised to get two wooden buttstocks. They're kinda dinged up, but they retain sharp grooves on the butt-end and have just the 'character' I want. Everything is really in top knotch condition, given my expectations.
I put everything in a tub of purple degreaser soon after dumping out and shuffling through all the parts, so it will be a few days before I can post inventory pics.
got my two kits, both barrels show use and corrosion, one the front half heavly rusted and pitted, broken top cover latch, MISSING buffer assy in one kit, other small pieces broken, called thursday and friday waiting for call back? from Dave. far from vg to exc. condition
Congradulations on the new arrival Cigars for every one keep us posted as to what may be missing and how you progress with your build I'm definetly interested and maybe a Pic or 2 of the cuts they did to your receiver
just found you guys today. i just got my sarco kit friday box was busted (thanks ups).mine seems a mixture of newish and well used not worn out parts.been lookin for schematic and found it here. sarco said they will send me any missing parts no problem.havent done me wrong yet. german manuals will be getting an order from me payday.thanks for posting the schematic!

pull up an ammo crate and sit awhile! Do a search and read everything!. You might have to take some vacation though.

Funny you asked I guess its a Common Idea from all the Old Cowboy Movies But Yes we Do Have to leave Our guns outside in a Vehical or @ home if Going to a Bar. But Not if your just Having a Drink with your Dinner or Meal only @ an establishment that Searves Exclusivlly alcoholic Beverages. Dang, I've wanted to visit AZ for a long time. Maybe I need to look into moving there. Telephone solicitors are always confusing AR with AZ, so I get accused of living in Arizona a lot. Moving there might clear up all the confusion.
AR is fairly firearm-lenient for a left-leaning Democommie state -- especially if you live in the sticks like I do. But AZ, now that's starting to sound rather appealing. I assume there is plenty of property that would appeal to a isolationist loner like myself who prefers a minimum of five miles between neighbors?
Seriously, AZ sounds like a refuge in the midst of our national decline.

2 Sarco kits came today and 1 box was busted wide open in 2 seperate pieces (UPS sucks as usual). will get them cleaned up and do parts count and post pics later. Barrels look like brand new on outside, rifle grooves are sharp but bores are dark. Should clean up after some rapid fire heating and scrubbing. No german markings
I've always wanted to see the Southwest. I've been to Wyoming and Montana. Figured one of these days I'd take the wife on a tour of the West. My younger sister lives in Oklahoma in the panhandle part of the state. Got to get out and see her too. I told her I'd take care of her coyote problem for her. Hmmm. A beltfed coyote rifle.
