The original film isn't copyrighted, but I don't know if the reformatting to DVD can be.
My manuals are a little different. The original German manual isn't copyrighted, and even if it was back in the day, the copyright hasn't been renewed, and who's going to claim that they are the author? What I copyright is the translation. That's my work so that can be covered by a copyright registered to me.
Did somebody contact the seller and is that why he killed the ad? What do the lawyers say Ed?

About 10 copies of the DVD were sold to a collector that works in a museum in Germany. He has sold a few, and it seems that one guy has taken it upon himself to make copies on his own and sell them. He stopped the ad but now wants proof that we made the DVD. Today I scanned the info from the lab and sent copies to Norway and from their Folke sent them to Germany. We are not trying to screw anyone, we are just trying to make it harder for people to make a bunch of copies and sell for their own profit after we paid a bunch of money to first, have a lab restore the film, and 2) make copies. Yep, I know the production values in this are a little cheesy, but I don't want some guy doing nothing and making money. Also, we looked at copy protecting the DVD and the labs all told us the same thing: copy protection cost $4-5000 and there are a ton of free software downloads to defeat copy protction.

You have the copyright to the CD/DVD that you made if you have anything on the CD/DVD that is unique. The guy is a pirate if he did a copy that included your work. I would look into the EU laws/regulations on piracy.

This is a different guy. This link is to the museum guy. He is selling the original copies we made and gave to him, unlike the other guy who bought a copy from this auction and then made his own to sell.
The guy in this auction is named Michael and he is in germany. He is an expert on german rifle grenade systems of WWI and WWII (wrote a book about it) and has a hell of an MP44 collection.
If you notice, the dipstick in the ebay link used the images Michael created for the egun auction.
