Another Kit from Dan/ IT's MINE!!!!!

Post by swilson »

My kit came in a few days ago, but haven't been able to do anything with it due to work. Was off this evening so I spent a little time cleaning off most of the cosmo and then started cleaning off the slag from the torch. It is really a thing of beauty. The cuts were clean and the rear piece with the stampings weren't even close to the cut. :D

Dan was great to me when I ordered it...had a lot of noob questions I asked as this is my first kit. He took care of me and walked me through every one. I will definitely be a repeat buyer from Dan. Just have to figure out what accessories I will need. Any suggestions???

I will try to start making my SA mods to the receiver in the next day or so. I am going to get on Pirates list and let him handle the bolt and gripstick mods.

I built a 1919A4 a couple of years ago so the 42 will definitely compliment it. It is an Izzy so they will share .308 ammo.

Anyway...this is my first attempt to post pics here so hopefully I do it correctly.

Did the receiver mods and started tacking/welding the rear piece up tonight. Things are going great...maybe I can finish the welding tomorrow.

My wife is already giving me THAT LOOK because I keep coming into the house showing her what I did next.

She just doesn't seem to appreciate fine weaponry like I do....

Steve,
Just wait until it is finished and doesn't fit in the safe! My wife is learning to appreciate it, since she has to look at it leaning against our bedroom dresser!
