Ive been studying 34/42's for years. The one thing ive wondered and ask everyone here is: what are markings specifically for wartime Mg42 bolt carriers? I understand the waffenampts. But i was wonder what are examples of some wartime stamps vs. post war.

I been wondering too. Like look at this bolt under the sear catch.Like an arrow or triangle mounted on an upside down 'T'. And the M .What are theses anyone know?

I also would like feedback on this subject.
I've aways been of the feeling that those marks as the shop inspectors stamping to prove them or something like that.

I've handled dozens of wartime bolts and markings like this is few .I've seen them once on a camming section as well. Looks like an alchemist marking for Sulfer
