Reenacting Wisconsin area

Post by man_am_boden »

Hello, im not sure where to ask this so i will do it here. Im interested in starting to reenact WW2 but am unsure of what units are around me. I live in southern Wisconsin, and would like one that has an HQ somewhere not to far away, the actual reenactment could take place a good distance away as im sure that is where the better ones would be anyways.
So does anyone know of units based out of wisconsin? And maybe there location.
I did some basic searches for units in wisconsin and didnt really come up with any solid information. Mainly big units that recruit nation wide is what i came across. Any information is appreciated, thanks.

1 Kompanie Grossdeutschland is in your area. I'm in MN but sometimes attend their events. I can put you in touch with some of their members.

They don't have a website. PM me for email contacts.

By the way, here is my latest reenactment video from last weekend's event...

Actually,I really like that little bike-there seem to be sidecar combis all over, but your motorbike is unique.I looked it up on the net a while ago,and it is quite rare to find one in that condition. The video was great,I especially liked the 'jump-off' when the Hetzer crashed into the brush and the landsers moved up. ---bil

I enjoyed the video quite a bit, do most units usually do some kind of recording or combat correspondence of the events? And i will get a PM out to you.
