MG3 is used as the coaxial MG IN the Leopard2 turret, also ON the loader's hatch.

Thanks,and welcome to the new guy!! As the 42,I have seen many pick of it mounted on the lafette with buttstock removed,not sure if they used any sort of rubber bumper. ---bil

That is a traditional part of his units uniform.It is a reminder from their WWII days,when it looks like the war is going the wrong way,just 'fly away' ! ---bil
