I bought a German Kit w/ demilled receiver about 9 months ago, paid 800$. They are going for more now. Do a search on completed items on gunbroker.com, that will give you and idea, also look at past posts here on the trading board. Chris....
Allegheny Arsenal still has MG42 Lafettes, something like 900$ or so?

Re: MG42
I have seen a number of the Alleghany Lafettes, but have only seen one with intact German markings. AA maintains that they were reworked by the Yugos. Many of them may simply be post war Yugos. Without German markings it's hard to tell. There are still some German Lafettes out there with intact markings (makers codes on the cradle and search fire mechanism, waffenamts on the bolt heads, etc.) but they are much more expensive, in the $1,400 range if I recall correctly. With that said, the AA tripods I have seen were in nice condition, and would look great once the grease and Yugo paint was stripped and replaced by something more appropriate.ChrisPCook wrote:Allegheny Arsenal still has MG42 Lafettes, something like 900$ or so?

Oh, and when I said AA in my post, I was referring to the Alleghany Arsenal lafette tripods that I was commenting on. It seems like this took a turn towards anti aircraft tripodsdrooling idiot wrote:the AA tripod or the AA sights ?MGMike wrote:I got one of them from IO just before Christmas.
Reasonably good shape, especially for $100![]()
