Nice gun. I have a dfb 41 also. Mine is all matching but the barrel. It is also a long mileage gun with lots of rust pits. It also has been reblued, and not very well. It's ugly, but it still works and no, the original matching parts are put away and I run an A.A. parts kit on the receiver. Paid $5500 in '98.

Wish I could afford a 42 AND a 34!
I agree with Kurt -- we need some wallpaper photos -- how about properly posing that thing?

I could not afford to buy one myself. This one has a long trade story. I bought an MG42 in 1984 for $2000, traded it for a Thompson and 1919A4 in 1987. Traded the Thompson and 1919A4 this year for the MG34. Before trading we ran a number of belts through it without any problem.
The MG34 is all original finish, the only real blemish is a crack in the wood butt stock.
Let me know what other photos you want and the next day with sunshine I will try to make those for you.

Hey there PM, UPS may have let it get wet, but those pits are way to deep for a weekend of rain on a loading dock. Now why did you sell the "42 ? As I remember you got a good deal on it. Well, you just can't look back. I had a HTA AK-22 that I got for $612 from Volmers, sold it for $1250. Ohio Ord. has one last month for about $9K. Oh well!
I've decided to get a Vickers before they go to $20k They're undervalued yet, but they'll be more soon.
