As mentioned. I am looking for a wooden butt that will fit my MG42. I found the MG53 ones don't fit and I've got a bakelite one that doesn't seem correct. I live in the Netherlands and I've got all the legal papers.
And next to that I'd like a repro Slab slide cocking handle. Where can I find one?
Let me know, directly via email: msnvanerik (ATT) man (DOTT) com

If the fitting problem is a small gap between the stock and the buffer then you might have the wrong buffer. It might be a yugo buffer. If nothing else check out that area.
Good Luck

Re: WTB MG42 but and SLAB SLIDE COCKING HANDLE
My bakelite stock fits just fine.. I'd just like to add a wooden stock as it seems more authentic. I've got a CRA mg42. I don't know what would be best.
Anybody know of a source of slab cocking handles?

You can find the slab-sided cocking-handle-assembly as a reproduction from a man down in France..........just go to "E-Bay"......and keep looking at MG42 parts......he also makes other items in reproduction for sniper-rifles, etc..

PS: They are not cheap......but then I don't know of any other source that is making these as reproduction.
