tnw mg34 sear trip arm

Post by merc15 »

I have now broken the little arm/sear, to the rear of the bolt 3 times, and TNW wants 125$ for the complete assembly?! I tried to get one made from my machinest but he said they made the part so small that it will continue to break no matter what metal is used? I found the guy on here who was selling a longer arm assembly, but not sure who out there was in the same boat as me and was breaking them as easily as I am? I am only getting about 200 rounds out and it lets loose..! TNW wants me to send them the gun(which is out of warranty), but I told them that I am not paying for a single penny sinve they want the gun back... if there is a problem with "their" gun, they should pony up and honor the work or payment involved... to me they should R/D Q/A their product a little more!!

Hi merc15, are you using the TNW-supplied heavy firing pin spring? Mine works well with the stock German spring and commercial ammo. The WW2 spring is much lighter, and I feel that the fire control parts will last longer being under less stress. And thr trigger pull is very acceptible. Good luck!...Phil

Comparison of the original German f/p spring, to the nasty stiff TNW spring. You might try an original in you gun if you haven't yet. It works well in mine....Phil

Hey Guys,

I changed my TNW spring out as well for an original spring from a full auto bolt I had, huge difference.

Now if I can just figure out a cure for the trigger I will be a happy man. :-)

Cheers
