Good for you, $65 for hot dip blue is a steal and she will look close to correct.

Re: Holy crap it worked, (for a minute or so)
Hundreds, really hundreds of hours sitting in front of the computer is how it is done, but I'm going the easy direction. I translate German to English. I don't speak German, and I certainly don't write it. For me to try to get English into German would be a disaster. Masculine? Feminine? Neutral? English doesn't care, and I'm glad of that. This stuff is miserable enough just to find the correct meaning of the word without worrying about its sex life. My German/English dictionary shelf is 24" wide with dictionaries dating from 1925 to 1978, mostly German/English military dictionaries, a few German only military dictionaries, and a few German standard dictionaries. I've got more money wrapped up in dictionaries and their postage from Germany than anybody has in the manuals they've bought from me, and I've used every dictionary I have more than just a few times looking for a proper meaning for a word.www.Prussia.us wrote:How the heck does Jbaum do it?
It seems the German language doesn't have enough words to describe what they want to say, so they use something that's close and you have to mentally fill in the blanks as you read, according to the context of the paragraph. The same word "nach" can mean near, next to, in front of, after, according to, behind, like, later, toward, an imitation of, on the authority of, by, at, in, for, or considering...... you pick the one that's correct. And what the part was called 70 years ago may be a different word for the same thing today. It just drives ya nuts sometimes, and you have to go to http://www.MG42.us and read old messages to keep your sanity.

hmmmmmmmmmmm..................
Possibly a "Blank-Adapting" Question here (?????).
Have you read the Blank-Adapting Section (?).
If you're having problems firing Blanks, contact me off-line first at my e-mail address and I can evaluate the question(s)/challenges to see if we need you to ask the question in the Blank-Adapting section (?).

Re: Holy crap it worked, (for a minute or so)
it ejected the spent shell and bent the crimp of the blank that had been blown upon back in when it hit the receiver i guess. could be the length of the blanks i am using there Atlantic wall 8mm made from 270s i think. but then after that the bolt closed and when i fired again.. nothing. because the next blank didn't load but stayed in the bolt so the bolt didn't catch it? been having the same issues with live rounds.. i just tested the blanks because i don't have to worry about anything landing where it shouldn't. i will email about my BFA though i don't think that's the issue. unless......... wait a minute i literally just thought of this. the bolt is getting back far enough to eject the spent round but not back far enough to load a new one from the trey. which makes this a spring issue or Maybe i need more powerful blanks/different width BFA
Re: Holy crap it worked, (for a minute or so)
Are you using the 2-piece blank firing barrel or are you using the BFA that replaces the booster cone?FKpt.Fritz wrote:it ejected the spent shell and bent the crimp of the blank that had been blown upon back in when it hit the receiver i guess. could be the length of the blanks i am using there Atlantic wall 8mm made from 270s i think. but then after that the bolt closed and when i fired again.. nothing. because the next blank didn't load but stayed in the bolt so the bolt didn't catch it? been having the same issues with live rounds.. i just tested the blanks because i don't have to worry about anything landing where it shouldn't. i will email about my BFA though i don't think that's the issue. unless......... wait a minute i literally just thought of this. the bolt is getting back far enough to eject the spent round but not back far enough to load a new one from the trey. which makes this a spring issue or Maybe i need more powerful blanks/different width BFA
