How do you guys clean off cosmoline?

#2 fuel- but not on wood, use starting fluid on wood and the joints & tight spots spray it down good-- nice job plus, it evaporates

dissasemble and soaking in driveway degreaser works really well for metal. Heating wood and wiping down with citrix does the job for me also. Boiling the wood with a little ammonia works for raising the dents. Im told boiling the wood with a little bleach removes the discoloration from old dented areas but I have never tried it. Its also important to boil in clean water after using bleach because any bleach left in the wood will attack the metal.

Turpentine ! cosmo just melts off, doesnt harm bare wood either.
