Personally I'd prefer something close to the original thickness.
Do you have a target price range for these in mind?

There are gonna be .2500....its too much of a pain to mill off .05.

I think about $25 to $30 a set. I'll know more when I get the bill for the lumber/end mills.

I'd be in for a set of 42 and about three sets of 34 grips.

I would take one in walnut for the 42 definately for that price

Ok, my walnut arrived today and its beautiful wood. Here is the final test set right off the machine. These haven't beened sanded or finished with any oil or stain. If eveyone approves that is interested, then I'll start cutting them and make a post in the FS section. I'll also work up a 34 grip too. I placed the original in there too so you can see the shape/size/color. The buttstock is laying on an uncut piece of walnut. Opinions?
