Bid if you wish.
Sold a 1944 dfb one at the end of November for $60.

A lot of these places are 'parts pimps' They are in it for money. Not service, not love of the item. Money is it.

Take muscle cars. I have seen guys buy one and part them out because they are worth more in parts. A good running car stripped and gutted for money.

So does this mean Dan isn't a pimp? Is he a homie? I have bougt from Dan and would reccommend him anytime. Got his bumper sticker up at work.

Well i understand it's business for them and not a hobby. But it's bad business to under pack items for shipping. Doesn't matter how they feel about the items. One would think they would tighten up the shipping after all these years of problems. How much brains does it take to realize that heavy items loosley packed in a flimsy carboard box are going to be a problem? Most junior high school kids would have more sense.

I don't know about kids. Have you seen the way they package themselves now? Droopy drawers look kinda like crappy cardboard boxes    They are trying to cut corners and save money. They don't seem to care about service.

Packaging... what packaging. Here is a pic of a kit I received from MGS. This is exactly how it looked when I opened the box, except I rearranged the parts a little. There was nothing inside except the parts rattling around. [/img]

"Pimps" is right. Scum. Short sighted slime. Not business men. I'm in business to make money. I realize that 1) it is easier to retain a customer than find a new one and 2) service (like properly packing parts) helps to retain customers. I retain more customers, I make more money. How many of you guys have ordered more than one MG42 kit? Do you go back to the scumbags to do it?

Of course to realize this sort of thing takes more than two brain cells to rub together. One has to wonder sometimes how "bad" the "bad guys" in this biz are. Oh well. What was that line about "first up against the wall" from Hitchhiker's?

Talked with them again today !!

Well got ahold of Interordnance today and was told that my kit was a priority; but they were almost out of parts--- So they knew their boxes were crap; they knew their tape would not stand up to shipping; they ran out of packing materials; but they were paid So What??? Pile it all in a box and ship the S**T out-- when it doesn't get there in one piece; Blame Fed-Ex-- Well I am still waiting to hear from them today ; waited yesterday also will wait until tomorrow to file with my credit card company-- They say they are trying to piece a set together-- So that means even though I ordered mid -December and it took a while for them to fill the order-- Maybe they are waiting on other kits that were destroyed in order to put a box of scrap parts together for me-- Well hopefully they won't do that because In a while I will be calling them back -- No answers then I will call my credit card company :(

How in the hell does a "buisness" expect the product to make it
to the cutomer when the goods are sent like that?? Notice I didn't say "packed like that",
because that's not packed....that's throwing s**t in a box.
You know, that pps made it cause it was small, and couldn't push through the cardboard, but
large items/parts sets would fly right out of it!!
Dan is the only guy I've ever seen pack his stuff with more wrap than the outside of the box

And to think they F-ing stick it to us for shipping and handleing really rubs salt in the wound.

You know in germany, it's illegal to serve beer with the wrong amount of head ontop. They'll shut the
place down, and penalize the pup.........sorry-- a little off topic, but what's going on with standards in
our country of great walmarts of china??????

Dont mess with a German and his bier bitte. :) Guys, my IO kit was wrapped in paper and DOUBLE BOXED. Hard to believe I know, maybe I got an early kit, or maybe more care was taken with the more expensive 8mm kits? Reading this thread I find myself to be fortunate and wonder if I would order from them again.......
oldiron

My Kit--8MM was the expensive kit !!!

Post by oldiron »

Not much more to say; Must just be plain unlucky or they ran out of the GOOD outside boxes and were just too greedy and only used a cheap S**T box to send this kit out; So I don't know who the joke is on here but It will not be me-- Tomorrow is their last chance-- No answers and the credit card company will be notified !!!

I always had good luck with io packing. I may have been just lucky. They send out most stuff in a large double top box that is taped with red white and blue tape. From a pure condition point of view the worst thing I got from them is the last 53 set. It had the worst (by io standards) cut so far. Not complaining here as it is still very good and builable. It just need a little TLC around the rivit holes. Hope they make good on it. At this point we are all lucky to have gotten the kits we have. I see higher prices in our future.

IO made good on the barrel that "slipped" out of the box. I received it today. Hope they follow through with the repalcement site that was broken in half.

I ordered some yugo 59/66 sks rifles from IO a year back and they said they where unissued condition, when I got them 2 of them had rust in the barrel and little or no blueing. I sent them back and got charged the assinine 20% restocking fee.

got to use cc so you can dispute the charges, if it is not as advertised i would have contested the 20% as it is not your fault they use false advertisement :?

well I just spoke to david at inter ord, he claims there are no more kit no more parts to replace missing items and if you wanted complete kits should have got em last summer, so from 4 kits I am short, 1 front site plunger,1bipod plunger and spring, 3 front recouperator studs,1 buffer latch spring,1 booster latch spring, if it wasn't for the 8mm parts I never would have ordered them to begin with :?

he also eluded to there will be no more recievers coming in, so if you don't get 1 from dangola when he has em forget buildin a gun

No more receivers - not even demilled receivers? How can they keep out demilled receivers, which are really hunks of steel and no longer a receiver?

Talked to Dan and he still has some receivers left. I upgrded my order to a full kit for an extra $250. The way things are going it won't hurt to have spare parts.
