Re: FG42 1st Model Wanted
Hello guys,
many thanks for the kind words about my books. That makes me happy
It's good to hear that the books are useful even if the language is Germany only.
But there is something that I want to add concerning the language:
The "tunnel vision" is a speciality of publishers .... and not only of us foreign authors. I have asked a lot of American publishers when I had finished my code book, but noone was interested. Some years later my rifle grenade book was ready, but again NO englisch language publisher wanted to print it. Schiffer books, Moose Lake Publ.(SAR), Collector Grade and so, I have really asked a lot of them, but there was no interest. Often I did not even get a reply. That sucks! Schiffer books told me that the market for the code book is too small
So finally I was very glad that I could find German publishers for these two books. The code book is bilingual in German and English, but the rifle grenade & launcher book was too much text to make in bilingual. And the publisher did not want to print it in English only. That's why I did not translate it.
It is very hard for a foreign author to gain a foothold in the US book market.
With best wishes and sorry for the difficult language
Michael

On the books issue is a pdf style possible? You put it together and sell in in dvd/cd form or ? Several folks do that. Still enjoying your codes book and still willing to pay in Euro.

I'd buy a CD copy of that book if it were available, auf Deutsch!

Re: FG42 1st Model Wanted
The idea with a CD or DVD is good for the buyers, but not good for the seller. Today you sell one CD and tomorrow you will find it as a free download on a Russian or Caribbean file-sharing board. There is no copy-protection that can not be cracked today. That is the main problem.
I have an agreement with my publisher that the books will never be published in electronic form. It would be the end of printed books. I'm not writing the books for making a lot of money and to become rich, but it helps to compensate the costs of all the reseaches.

Great picture of your FG42 - really nice, "Krumlauff" attachment, too.
