You know the thing came full of crud and then you added a nice selection of chips. The German tool looked like a lot of work. When time permits i'll sketch it, the pics should cover most of it. Width is .23" height .38" center slot is about .14. The third leg with all the relief cutting might not be needed, the 4th went away. The shaft is .312"* 10" with an end of .125*.44 long. Push the shaft in and center the collar in the slot, slide the holder in and remove shaft. Turn collar sideways and remove. Take your time and properly relieve the holder so the collar turns freely.

Neat tools. Really helps out a lot I'll bet. Push ram rod in to push back spring or the rod and then insert tool remove ram rod and then twist and remove the key and then ram rod back in to remove the spring pressure from the tool and then repeat or your done.
