Dual drum carrier from IMA *pics*

Post by MauserMatt »

I ordered the dual drum carrier IMA is offering and I must say, I am extremely pleased with what I got!

It's all WWII German, but is repainted post-war Yugo Apple Green. Still not bad for $134 shipped!! You get 2 belts (both mine are WWII German) and 2 WWII starter tabs. Plus the drums of course. Though I can't find any markings on the drums themselves, there is a manufacturer mark on the carrier. (can't find any Waffens though)

Anyway, I'll let the pics do more of the talking. The ONE thing I'm not happy about is the damn thing doesn't want to stay closed! The latch is bent just enough that prevents it from locking.. Though I think I can fix it, I just wish I had opted for the $10 handpick.. Oh well... Maybe if I buy another set I'll do that...

I would snatch one up if I were you guys... :D It's gonna look EXTREMELY cool attached to the '42...

Drum Stamps

Post by Abwehr »

MauserMatt,

The Drums usually have the stamps on the top lid as you are aware, but the Yugo apple green paint is pretty thick and they are most likely covered with paint. I have about 6-7 and one set of Yugo are painted like yours. I can barely make out the stamp on one of the drums, but it is there. O bet yours have the stamps and the paint is covering them.
