Hi Guy's...!
I came across a parts kits at our local gun show last month, luckly, the pieces are all there..! I really need to find a rail Jig this time, as the front Cam,trunion have been cut. I own J Baums 42 manual on repairing and found distance for cam opening at 15.040" from rear of receiver to opening, and overall gun length at 37-9/16". 2nd Question is: Rail alignment is correct when the lower part of the bolt guide on the rail is flush with the lower part of the Cam guide? given the cam guide is thicker and the rail could be aligned a few differant ways....Thank's so much for your guy's help...Bernie

Re: 2-de-milled 42's to build..!
OK,,,i answered my own question,,,,,I assembled the 42' Full Auto, Post Sample today,,and lined the rail bolt guide grove even with the top of the Front Cam Guide grove,,welded her up, and with much more fitting, (as the gun was built with the rear receiver way to long,,,at 15.8"to the nose of the cam stop)..(Thank You JBaum!!) his manuals are are life saver on these..Germanmanuals.com ...SO I finally achieved the correct rear receiver length, and completed the "Re-Build",,,,on test firing, of course after re-woring the rear part of the receiver so the top cover could close, (on our new shortened and correct length rear receiver),,,she ran FLAWLESSLY..!!40 rounds in about 2 seconds..!! Thank's again Jonh for the manuals, without them it would have been a Ray Charles Build..!

Way to go on getting everything running. Sounds like it's working fine and yes John's books are great.
