Which is the preferred setup? AR or FAL trigger conversions?
I'm sure some people will prefer one over the other and vice versa. What's the pros/cons of each? Thanks

Re: AR vs FAL Fire Control Group
Understanding that most folks seem to like the fal fcg for several reasons, I'm running a ar-15 setup with a wolf power spring. Runs great with good ammo. Gives great primer strikes with yugo, now saving yugo for 1919 use and some bolt action rifles. Reason why I went with ar-15 setup is that it was there, did not want to build a fal fcg setup at the time.

Fal--like rocker said ---seems to have a little more power --which may be needed with the harder primers on surplus ammo---ar fcg is a little less expensive and may need a littyle more tweaking --but both are working in our semi's

One of the FCG builds talks about trying to keep the original look of the mg42 rather than having a block attached in an otherwise seamless stamping. I kinda like that idea.
There was a mention of a third possibility too, I'll have to go back through the stickies.
Getting ready to order parts and haven't ruled out BRP's $165 kit

Brian's (brp) kit is nice. That said also look for for a wiselite or ppb's build. Both of those are nice also. I think that the fal redo, gut the inside is really nice because it uses the original grip stick and keeps its look to it. Only found one that is not working for me, however I'm still working on that one.
