I ordered 10 of the $5 chopped up scrap sets yesterday and they were in stock, a friend called and explained he needed some specificaly to repair the sections from century and was told they have been out for a while and the $1200 80% reciever, or the $900 dummy reciever would be the lowest cost solutions BRP would continue to offer, might depend on the desperation (or lack of) in your call. I also tried to order a few more of the assembled front end sections and was told similar, have to buy the $1200 80% rec now.

What's the difference between the 80% BRP receiver and the "dummy" BRP receiver?

Thanks,

As I understand it - from another thread somewhere in here - the dummy has some kind of plate welded in place just behind the trunnion area. It completely blocks any bolt from ever reaching the trunnion. The bolt will never mate with the barrel.

The first question here - Over all length - is measured without the butt stock, without the HD buffer spring which the butt attaches to, and without the flash supressor or its parts on the front. The over all length is the reciever ONLY. From the threads in front to the back part where the serial number is located.

It is (again from in here somewhere) 37 11/16"

Mine is 37 5/8" and I'm told it will work. My guess is it will work because the adjustment with the flash supressor will allow for that much variation.

You got it as best I know it. I believe it to be true and expect it to work as designed. If its too short I'll get ouot the 4" cutoff saw and make it longer.

being 1/16" short shouldn't be a problem as long as the trunnion fits. you are only .062"
off from the correct dimention.
