Hello All
Can any body tell me if this is an early version of the WaA11 mark ( Maget )
The marks in question have a stamped eagle with small 11 under them.
Is this an early WaA mark or just an different way of doing it on small parts ect ?
Thanks for looking
Rob

Re: Different versions of a WaA markings ???
Thanks for the posts. Those are the first ones that I've seen on two of those parts.
The second one is that on the end of the buffer screw?

Stamped eagle with number 11 under it.
As this is a buffer from MG42 and the gun is a dated 1943 cra piece then these 3 stamps must be mid war WaA marking IMO
Rob.

Rob,
I have seen those stamps before. I have several parts in my collection with the same stamps. I would guess these are early maget markings.
I know of a early 43 dated Maget gun that has those stamps on just about all the part or a WaA147.

I agree with you. I have also been told the same thing on WAF .
These are indeed early maget stamps ( eagle 11 )
I think your find that WaA147 is a stamp for " bpr " makeing Mg42 parts .
bpr had dealings with many firearms so that other early 43 dated gun ( Mine in a dated 1943 Mg42 ) is same as mine .
Thanks for the post
