Thanks a million. The more pictures the better. They all help.
Re: MG34 Transit Chest Photos
How many barrel carrier fit in the case? The repo i got will hold four.
Sooner will a camel fit through the eye of a needle than discover a great man through elections.
Re: MG34 Transit Chest Photos
the box in those photos is not the usual mg34 portuguese box! notice the flash hider has to be removed so it will fit in there. i think that box is for the mg15 and it is a german box for sure. it has been retrofitted to hold the mg34 look very close at the photos. - matt

Re: MG34 Transit Chest Photos
Damien H. didn't stock his pictures right, that's for sure!
Except for the external view of the Portuguese transport/storage box that we are all so fond of, ALL the other pictures are in fact of a WW2 German storage box------but definetively not for the MG34!
The pictured box appears to be a heavily modified "Aufbewahrungskasten 15", a MG15 storage box. As pointed out, it is much too short, and from the pictures you can easily see the added new wooden blocks and the places were the old supports have been removed.
Do not go ahead and make a copy of this one!
