The guy has been reliable for me in the past with a few buys. I do know that he sells some things that are obvious reproductions, which he does not identify as such. When he says it's real, it is, but when he doesn't say so, be vewwwwy caweful wabbit! His repros have included test cartridges (with waffenamt) that were made from aluminum.... not right at all, since aluminum would wear easily. He does get some nice accessories and equipment. He will kill you with $40 shipping on a small package, though. I'd hate to see what he wants for sending the Lafette..... make sure you get shipping costs up front when dealing with him.

I don't like the looks of it, the data plate and range plate have been replaced, the pads are canvas not leather. It looks like a post war Yugo mount dressed up to look German.

Or how about a WW2 German mount given a post war paint job and fix up by the Yugos? The plates of course have been poorly redone. As usual, it all depends on price. As with a lot of the German stuff on Germany's ebay, you can get one in the US for less money than it will sell for there.

Isn't is a shame they way they have to shave the front of the bolt off at an angle? Look at the left in the bolt box. Looks like an MG34 bolt box too.

Well, better accept it at once: if Heereszeugamt is the ebay seller his item is bound to be "fixed", "faked" or messed with. I have bought two items from him and both were JUNK. Just take a look at the data plate! Of course a German WW2 manufacturer would stamp his details directly onto the metal, and not onto a alu-plate!!!! Just see how the makers three-letter code is NOT inline, and how the WaA is standing on it's head! See how the rivets holding the ûberschiesstafel looks like they were smeared about with a big hammmer!
Wake up and smell the bacon!

It is good to hear from actual costomers. That is one of the things I like about this site, everyone looks out for the others, not every man for himself. ---bil

Yes, i had a look at this one too, but i noticed that there is not even a scope base on it, which got me thinking this has deffinately either been re-worked, or its a post war copy, its deffinately not ww2 origin
