MG34 Bolt Rollers and clips Source

Post by roughshooter »

Dear Gentlemen,

Does anybody know where you can buy replacement bolt rollers and clips for the MG34 bolt ?

Marstar have them, but at $20 each for the bolt rollers and $10 each for the clips thats mighty expensive.

Regards Craig.

Thank you Sir,

Do you have a bearing supply house you can recommend because my bolt is in Austria and I am in England for three months and I don't know the size. If anybody who knows for sure the correct size and can get a source for them I would be greatful to buy some if somebody in the states is prepared to ship them here.

Marstar are asking $10 Canadian each

Regards Craig.

Is everyone from continental Europe coming to England for 3 months? OK maybe not everyone but you are board member number 2 now. Is there something exciting going on?

Dear Bil,

Thank you for your kind offer.

I have bitten the bullet and ordered 4 clips from Marstar Canada for the grand total of $32 Canadian. What a rip off but at least I will have the correct sizes. When I get them I shall photograph them and put the sizes on the forum so all can benefit.

I could not find a source for the bearing for a while, I tried Sarco and Northridge but neither had any. The guy at Sarco even told me he has many bolts without rollers himself. For those that may be interested finally got a set from TNW for just $15 each, but thats still $60 for the set of four required.

As regards the tea party well I'm alreaday in England most of the time....I'm English. But about 3 years ago I realised that the UK was just way too restrictive so I moved all my collection to Austria and now have Austrian Citizenship and a collectors permit and licence to carry. Things are much better out there for the serious collector.

Regards Craig.

I think Bil failed to mention it was a 'Boston style' tea party we were envisioning!

Dear Bil,

I actually phoned my order through yetsreday to Marstar and they have run out of clips ! TNW Firearms have them on back order but this situation seems ludicrus.

Please can any board member help here providing a photo of the clips and their sizes, as forum member Bil has kindly offered to ship them to me if somebody can give the correct sizes.

Regards Craig.
