Got my kit today!!!
UPS showed up with my mg 42 kit this morning. There is a LOT of parts!!
The receiver looks pretty good and should not be a problem to reweld. The ratchet plate is hosed but I see brp has them.
I guess the place to start is to cut out the gripstick hole and deburr all the cuts and get to good weldable metal. then see how it alll fits together and make up some copper backing plates and some sort of fixture and start welding.
I will try to post pic's of the progress.

I'me down in Boca Raton, I plan on posting pics to document the build. I need to get all the parts cleaned up first.. and figure out where they go.MauserMatt wrote:How far south in Florida are ya? im just west of Jacksonville...
Sounds like you got a nice kit, got any pics? I bought mine through the group buy on weaponeer's site so I still haven't gotten it yet.
Good luck!

From what I have seen so far with my kit they are definately buildable.
might be even less after the group buy on weaponeer.

Its amazing anything works right around here with a bunch of
over-age juvenile delinquents running the place.
