Does any1 have any idea where to get MG42/MG3 cradles for mounting on gun rings etc on trucks or other soft skinned NATO/US vehicles?
Ring mount for MG42
I have a ring mount for the MG42 and MG3. It is arsenal refinished. The recoil mechanism is new. Price is $700 plus shipping for 70 lbs from zip 30039.
Insid diameter is aproximately 39 inches which is a 120 pus inches in circumfrance for big waisted fellows.

Hey John, does that mnt have a official name?
I picked up a MG3 mnt at Knob Creek several years ago.
See pic if I can post?
It is the bicycle handle type w/can holder. The pintle took some minor die grinder work to get it to drop into a US pedestal socket. I thought it would have been a NATO std.
Havn't seen any of these since and don't know the model of this mnt either.

I don't know of a specific name for either my mount or yours. I've shot from your style... very controllable.
The mount I have is for the ring mount as shown above. I've seen the rings available for sale, but they're so heavy that shipping would be $250 or more just to get it here, so I just get the actual mount when I find it.

I finally got a few more mounts in. See the picture above and below.
I have one that isn't spoken for, so if anyone wants it, let me know. Email or PM, the earliest timed message will get it. $150 + $10 postage. Weight is about 8 pounds.... this isn't a flimsy part, the main boxy part around the attachment point is 3/8", the pivot is cast, and the shell deflector is about 1/8" steel. The grease fitting is for the recoil absorber that's built in.
I may get more in the future - but I can make no guarantee.

Re: Vehicle Mount!!!??
Good picture above,
Anyway, I'm new here, and I have project to built it by my self for my collection. I have MG3 and wants to add it to my vehicle. Still looking where I should get this mount. After looking at the last 3 pictures I decides to make it. And I think its simple, but I have difficult how and whats the dimension of this mount. Could anyone tell me, where I can get the diagram to built for vehicle mount?
Thank your for advance.
