Post by runamuk »

I called them about the kit they have pictured with the bbl and all parts and I asked and the kit has no bbl and other items are different. Whats the story?

To put it very delicately, I'd say they have some pretty poor business practices if that's the case. Be glad you called first.

They were bought out by another mail order clothing outfit some months back. I can't remember the name of the outfit that bought them. I no longer do any business with "Sportsmans Guide" and have not done so for some time. Yes, I had "issues" with there business practices!

They suck, I ordered a M76 sniper kit from them and they did not even pack it well, I got the beat up kit.

I ordered two MG42 kits from SG. One was missing some parts and some parts were broken. I wasn't happy with that kit and sent it back. I was pleasantly suprised with the second one. Pretty much everything was there (except the rear receiver sections of course) and maybe a pin or spring or two. Yes it comes with the barrel. Mine has a mirror bore. I doubt they look the kits over. There's probably just pile of kits and what you get is what they sent you. I don't know who else has WWII kits right now if that's what you're looking for.

sportsman's guide is definitely in the buyer beware category :!:

I'm not going to rip into them needlessly but be sure you know what your getting before you order it and double check that your actually getting what you think you are ordering.

I have had problems as well. They sell things they do not have and they cannot tell you when they will have them. They are not well!!!

Yeah, I joned their club to get a discount on a number of the 34 drums on backorder. The drums never made it but they sure as heck would not refund my buyers club membership.

you should ask for a refund .
they had, last i checked, a "100%" satisfaction policy on the club where they'd refund the money you paid to join minus how much you saved by being in the club. so if you never used it you'll get it all back.
