TNW MG34 receiver pin

Post by luftysoldat »

Guys,
I'm needing too buy a 34 front receiver section that includes the pin ( to complete my TNW receiver) that fits into the barrel shroud. Can anyone help me with this, maybe someone makes them (the pin itself, not the receiver) or can make them. I'm trying to avoid the IMA 200.00 dollar deal they have but if thats the only route I guess I have to take it. Thanks!

They have some parts but am not sure which pin you mean. The one that engages the interrupted thread and locks the jacket in place?

are you sure? I am talking about that large pin that sticks out the front of the receiver. Maybe I better get the manual so I can get the correct nomenclature.

ok I thought you meant the part in the barrel jacket that secures it to the semi-threaded pin. Look around for a front stub. You may get lucky. Are you making a dummy or a semi?

It will be a semi. I was trying to avoid the same issue as the first poster with building a TNW receiver. I didn't want to go the IMA route and spend $$$ on those receiver chunks just for the pin. I can't beleive someone isn't making the pins.

I've never seen a demilled receiver without the pin.Inter-ornance,Sarco,IMA,and FAC Supply(The main suppliers for years)always included the pin attached to the front cam.Sarco did the worst torch-cuts that gave you a small portion of the cam section attached to the pin.

Why don't you call Bob at Philadelphia Ordnance Inc. He make MG34 80% receivers from scratch. He might sell you just the pin.

I have an extra pin attached to a hunk of slag. It's saveable if your inclined. The threads are good. The rear is a little touched but it should be no big deal. Give me 20.00 shipped only to help me recoup some of the cost of the front new fron section I had to buy from BRP. Email me or pm me about it. I have to dig it out of the pile before you send money so let me know.

I had Lance at TNW install the barrel shroud pivot pin for me.
I had to send him the pin and the barrel shroud so he could mate the receiver/pin to the shroud.
He did a great job and there isn't any play at all in mine when it's locked.
