There was a thread a weeks or so ago about the parts pouch for the MG42 in Sportsmans Guide catalog. They had them on specisl sale so I thought I would order some to see how they look.
These are actually MG3 parts pouches and NOT MG42 as advertised. I had no problem with the title as most of us call the MG 1, 2 & 3 an MG42. I ordered two of these and they arrived last Thursday. For the sale price, I was well pleased with them. One was in excellent condition and the other was in good condition. Both are serviceable and can be used for various items. For the sale price, I think they are worth buying if you need some leather pouches. I plan to bend a piece of sheet metal and rivit into the pouch to store my AA rear site, and put a few other common tools that may be required.

Great men are born in fire, it is the privilege of lessor men to light the flame, no matter the cost

MG3 Pouch
Well guys, I found a use for my spare MG3 Tool Pouch. I just bought an MPA 10 SA .45ACP pistol with the carbine conversion upper. I have spare magazines in some post war British magazine pouches, and will put the outfit in a takedown shotgun hard case. The spare pouch will hold a few spare parts, takedown tool, magazine loader, cleaning brush, and anything else I can fit into it. For the special sale price, not a bad investment.
