how many mods needed to do semi conversion

besides grip stick and bolt mods what other mods need to be done for aproper semi build. Also how reliable is a semi build. Looking either at a mg42 or 1919. Can only afford one, but really like the 42.

The other two are milling out the grip stick opening and welding in the bolt blocking stud (both done to the reciever)

oh yeah and drilling a hole in the recuperator for the bolt block

and drilling a small hole in the buffer screw so the fp striker dosen't hit

I think thats all

the 1919 is an easier, cheaper build. if funds are that close it might be a better idea , that way if/when problems come up you'll have more cash to finish the build.
