Another Recuperator question

Post by j.bal »

When you add the tab to the bolt, to use the charging handle, do you also need to modify the recup.? I am finding that if I place the tab on the flat of the bolt I hit the blocking pin. If I add it to the side, on the bevel, it hits the recup. Do I need to cut the side of the recup.?

I understand what the recup. does and how it is installed. In F/A their are no changes, with the modifications for semi it has to be altered, but to what degree. I will try to post pics if that helps but I think someone has meet this problem before.

The recup. has been modified to fit with the bolt block. It's the right side where the new lug is installed that hits the right part of the recup. The channel wall next to the bolt on the bottom. Can i trim that down? So that the bolt will slide in without hitting the side?
