reweld mg 42

reweld mg 42

is it legal to reweld it to like an 80%. i would keep the front sectoin where the booster goes so it would not be complete and i could send it thru the mail. i want to build a semi auto

first you need to do the reciever mods like open the grip stick hole and install a bolt block, read the build tutorials :D

There really hasn't been a clear decision on 80%

Better to leave it cut if your mailing it.

if you did what TOM R said first then welded it up like the BRP dummies you *should* be ok with it not being considered a firearm, but like Salt said there's no real 80% information out there. Though I have to ask why do you want to stop at 80% and then ship?
